What a beautiful cane. The color and grain are absolutely stunning. I wanted a very sturdy cane to take with me on a trip to Europe where I plan to do a lot of walking on cobble-stone streets but didn't want a cane that was heavy. This one is the ticket. The grip is natural and comfortable in the hand. The cane only weighs about nine ounces but Padauk is a wood rated at about 1725 on the Janka hardness scale. Walnut is 1100, mahogany is 1200 oak is 1350 and maple is about 1450. So - light weight and very hard wood. A beautiful addition to buy collection that will see a lot of miles.
Very good cane. The wood is nicely worked, the personalization engraving is top class. The varnish coating is bright and has no issues. The red of the padauk is great. Cane weighs about 9 ounces. This cane is down to earth with a touch of refinement yet nothing that would read as gaudy or too fancy. The pistol grip is similar to a revolver and is more comfortable and secure to put weight on than anticipated. Leave it to the texans at Brazos to create such a revolver gripped walking cane - nice job!
