Replacement Rubber Ferrule for the Lee Valley Spike
To be sure, determining the right size walking stick or can be a subjective art form. What feels right for one person may feel horrible for another. However, with almost two decades of experience in making handcrafted, wooden walking sticks and canes, you can be sure that we have some opinions on the matter!
Cane sizing is best achieved by standing up nice and straight, relaxing your arm naturally to the side, and having someone measure the distance from your wrist to the floor.
Again, let me reiterate, the sizing recommendations listed above are only suggestions. For people needing step-by-step support, it’s best to consult your doctor or another medical professional about your exact sizing needs.
I had to call in to get the detailed specs for this but they willingly provided every detail I requested. I used it to repair a cheap cane I had previously purchased and then wore out. It worked very well as a small option to the huge rubber tip choices that most cane supply sites provide. I will be ordering more as replacements for the cane I rebuilt to receive this part. In short I like it, I'm happy. Thanks, David
This will make for an elegant termination for a dress stick. This one is for a slim cans so look at the directions to make sure it will work for you. If your stick is a little larger the included ring will help the transition. The replaceable tip is a plus. There is also a larger version which has been added recently for canes 1" or larger. It would be nice to have one that fell in between to eliminate the need to use the ring.
