The Twisted Bloodwood Exotic Walking Cane is like a functional piece of artwork, so whether you simply add it to your growing collection, or use it as a daily walking aid, this cane is sure to impress! Bloodwood is a South American exotic hardwood with a gorgeous, natural red hue, making this exotic wood a prized possession for woodworkers and cane collectors alike. The wood for this exotic walking cane is carefully cut, worked on a router, sanded, and sprayed with a protective clear coat lacquer. Each Bloodwood Walking Cane also comes with our signature twist that spirals majestically down its shaft. To make it a very personalized cane, consider laser engraving your name, phone number, or a special message on the cane's shaft. With a variety of fonts to choose from, our laser engraving is desirable for even the most elegant walking canes.
Unlike sterile, lifeless metal canes and poles, Brazos walking canes offer natural appeal because they are made from real wood. You can see the fine detail and beauty of the actual tree when you look at one. Each cane is a work of art. Plus, because they are solid wood, there are no moving parts to become unstable. To be sure, determining the right size walking stick or can be a subjective art form. What feels right for one person may feel horrible for another. However, with almost two decades of experience in making handcrafted, wooden walking sticks and canes, you can be sure that we have some opinions on the matter!
Cane sizing is best achieved by standing up nice and straight, relaxing your arm naturally to the side, and having someone measure the distance from your wrist to the floor.
Again, let me reiterate, the sizing recommendations listed above are only suggestions. For people needing step-by-step support, it’s best to consult your doctor or another medical professional about your exact sizing needs.
This is my second Brazos cane and love them both. the bloodwood cane is a beautiful product, nicely finished and comfortable to use. I like the heavy handle which is more confortable that fritz handles I see on most canes. I ordered the 37" length and had to shorten it about 1 1/4 inches. I am six feet tall but find canes more comfortable to use if I can nearly straighten my arm out when it is on the ground.
