I purchased this product for my sister who was recently diagnosed with PSP. She was very pleased with the stick and found it easier to use than a cane. I don't know how long she will be able to use it, but it seems to be making life easier for the time being. This is a classy, quality product.

This stick is light, sturdy, and beautiful. I first considered getting a collapsible trekking pole from Walmart for future hiking trips, but this with a Lee Valley tip and built-in survival whistle will do much better. I also wrapped parts of it in stylish paracord weave designs, which compliments the twist in the center of the stick. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Great walking stick! Very nice in red, will personalize with beads and ribbons. Combo tip is really great! However, I wish they had contacted me about switching products (they sent ash because they were out of oak) before they did it. I had to wait for the one I ordered and now have to send back the ash they sent as a substitute. You should not make a substitution without consent from customer. Now you paid extra shipping for nothing.

My wife says she has found her ideal walking stick in her short light colored oak version. She hasn't used her expensive Alpenstock since she got it. I also really enjoy the longer version in the dark oak. It has become my go to stick for many uses, including indoor use when I suffered from a injured back. Much better than a cane, walker or crutches for helping me get up and down. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful walking stick! Light weight, pretty color in the brown oak, and very functional. It arrived shortly after I ordered it, and customer service is the best! This makes the 3rd purchase from Brazos and I'll surely be buying from them again! I would definitely reccommend this walking stick! :)

I bought one of these through geocaching.com. It now has thousands of miles on it and I could not be more satisfied! It will accompany me on a 500 mile pilgrimage in Spain (we hope) and I am sure it will stand up better than me.

The unique characteristics of oak make for a strong, reliable walking companion that is just as dependable on the hiking trail as it is on the paved, urban street. To make the Twisted Oak Backpacker Walking Stick, we carefully choose a solid piece of oak, cut it to size on a table saw, router the edges, and then sand the stick down, giving it our distinctive twist. Each staff is then beautifully stained in one of three colors: brown, red, and tan. Finally, each stick is sprayed with a clear coat lacquer. The result is a smooth finish that highlights the wood's intrinsic beauty. The finished staff is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted walking stick that is both sturdy and attractive. This staff comes in one of four sizes: 41-inches (primarily a child's size), 48-inches, 55-inches, and 58-inches. The Twisted Oak Backpacker Walking Stick comes with a standard rubber ferrule for a firm, secure grip on virtually any surface. For serious hiking, the rubber ferrule can also be upgraded to a spike ferrule or combination spike ferrule per your choice.Like all of our finely crafted walking sticks and canes, the Twisted Oak Backpacker Walking Stick is made in the USA by our skilled craftsmen using the highest quality wood and time-tested methods.
